• Clinical Medical Examination • Hearing Assessment (Audiometry) • Visual Assessment • Lung Function Test • Electrocardiogram (ECG) A Chest X-ray is required for initial aviation medical applicants. When booking your appointment, request a referral letter for your chest x-ray if you don’t already have one. Applicants are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of the X-ray. PREPARING FOR YOUR MEDICAL: • Patients with excess chest hair are requested to shave the chest area before their medical examination to facilitate ECG testing. • Avoid coffee, energy drinks, or other caffeine-containing beverages before your appointment. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Any additional specialist consultations or reports, blood tests and/ or diagnostic investigations requested in line with SACAA medical protocols will be billed separately by the relevant healthcare providers or laboratories. Applicants remain responsible for all associated costs.
